Product Info
The 1883-S silver dollar is the first Morgan dollar from the San Francisco Mint that is significantly scarce in better condition and certainly in any Uncirculated grade. Most 1883-S silver dollars were either heavily used, or were lost to the melting pots over the years. The 1883-S Morgan dollar was struck over 120 years ago at the Granite Lady – nickname of the 2nd San Francisco Mint which withstood the 1906 earthquake and fire!
